Here at Little Schoolbooks, we believe that a child should first learn all of the alphabet letters and sounds (Book 1), before learning how to read three-letter words (Book 2). Learning one skill at a time is easier for a child and provides a more solid foundation. We anticipate that the typical child will probably spend a little over a month to learn the material in Book 1 before being ready to move on to Book 2.
